Another week of trading is in the books, and I wanted to break down the setups I took and the lessons you can take away from them. As always, these trades followed the exact strategies I teach inside 1215 University
Monday – NVNI & YIBO
- NVNI was a next-day continuation play. I bought the breakout over the previous day’s highs, and it reached our minimum 5% target of $6.18. However, it didn’t hit my personal target of $6.97 (got close tho!) and I was stopped out.
- YIBO hit the momentum scanners and was setting up for a multi-day consolidation breakout. I quickly dip-bought at $7.85 and rode it all the way to my max target of $11.48. While the stock eventually hit $17.47, I was happy with my execution.
Tuesday – No Trades
Wednesday – PACK
- This was a First High Volume Day stock and my buy point was mentioned in the pre-market watch list, but it didn’t trigger until several hours into the session. I had a buy order sitting all day, and once it was filled, I stayed patient until my stop or target was hit. It reached my target of $8.45 before the close.
Thursday – AMOD
- Another pre-market watch list setup. I planned to buy above pre-market highs, and just two minutes after the open, it triggered and immediately went into a halt going up. The momentum was strong, and I had a solid good feeling it would hit my max target of $4.57—which it did right out of the halt. A clean breakout trade for a solid profit.
Friday – No Trades
Key Takeaway from This Week
You don’t need to trade every day to be a successful trader.
A common mistake new traders make is feeling like they have to take trades every day. This week, I only took four trades—and those were the ones that fully met my strategy’s criteria. Tuesday and Friday had no A+ setups, so I didn’t force anything.
The market isn’t about constant action—it’s about waiting for the right opportunities and striking with confidence when they appear. Learning to sit on your hands when the setups aren’t there is just as important as knowing when to pull the trigger.
If you’re serious about learning how to trade with discipline and patience, 1215 University will help you develop the mindset and skills needed to succeed.
See you in the next one,
Josh
